It’s no surprise that mobile phones have quickly gained the throne of being the most viewed electronic device worldwide. Mobile devices provide so many resources in modern society to the point that the majority of us completely rely on our devices to help us plan our day-to-day lives.
Mobile is the sole culprit to the continually increasing death of traditional forms of marketing. Traditional advertising is T.V, Radio, Billboards, Mailers, Newspapers, and Magazines. The internet has opened a new can of worms for the marketing and advertising industry. The creation of mobile technology has created 11 million jobs! Advertising is definitely in that figure.
The beauty of mobile marketing is not just in the convenience and the number of eyeballs you can reach, but in the way, we are able to track our marketing and consumers.
Mobile marketing offers a more concise way of measuring advertising analysis, unlike any other advertising outlet available to date.
With mobile marketing, we can track the entire journey a consumer has while engaging on their device. We can also track users that engage with our services and products that help gives us insight into how to improve how we are speaking to audiences.
Most brands are now online in some form or fashion but are they correctly tracking and engaging with their customer and have certain strategies in place to correctly remarket those who haven’t quite converted? Honestly, the answer is no. A lot of brands are missing the opportunity to correctly and effectively move the needle of growth within their marketing. This is the result of an over-saturated market with loads of misinformation and gimmicks.
Digital marketing is now the new photographer. Meaning anyone who has purchased a DSLR camera is now all the sudden a professional photographer. This same concept can be applied to marketers online. Anyone with a computer and an internet connection can sell themselves as an online marketer with enough motivation. It is important to make sure that anyone you entrust to help grow your brand online has the qualifications and skill set to properly understand the vast digital ecosystem.
